And if they do, they’re half-baked, bug-laden updates. These are the worst in terms of planned obsolescence. I swear never Xiaomi again. NEVER BUG-MIUI 💯 hate Xiaomi’s update policy. Avoid suicide by staying away from Xiaomi
What are the main strengths of Android 12. All I can see is the one-handed mode and themes that match your wallpaper. Nothing else??? Thank you

The others have many models from different ranges to deal with. Samsung, Xiaomi and HMD Nokia are a good example. Speaking of Xiaomi, I don’t see many 2020 or older models receiving a stable update to the Android 11 * operating system.

rizki1, 6 hours agoWhen will the useful root functionality be available? Have there been any recently on android? Root is not an Android feature per se, but instead either (1) a security configuration in your build (i.e. it is trivial to get root in n ‘ any AOSP build you create), (2) exploitation of an existing security vulnerability that allows escalation of privileges to root even when it is not intended (that is, the manufacturer does not wanted), or (3) something in the middle like patching the boot image and installing the Magisk overlays through a device with an unlocked bootloader.
(1) and (3) are generally good for power users who are familiar with security tradeoffs, but (2) is bad enough for the general population (eg, they can be exploited by all kinds of adversaries).
Surely that would mean that Google would bring forward the pixel 6 release date ??? You will therefore have the latest pixel Android operating system, 3 generations more than the 6
