
You can now downgrade iOS 9 on iPhone 5c, 5, 4s and iPad 3, 2 to iOS 8.4.1 firmware using OdysseusOTA 2.
OdysseusOTA has been available for some time. And recently, it was updated to support downgrading a handful of devices from iOS 9 to iOS 8.4.1, namely iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 4s, l ‘iPad 3 and iPad 2. Interestingly, the tool also lets you downgrade from iOS 7.x directly to iOS 8.4.1, without having to be fully on iOS 9.x.
Also keep in mind that at this point there is absolutely no way to downgrade the aforementioned devices to iOS 8.4.1 using iTunes. After all, Apple does not currently sign the firmware for these devices, which makes the whole process absolutely impossible. But thanks to OdysseusOTA 2, the downgrading process is possible, if and only if you have a jailbroken iPhone 5c, 5, 4s, iPad 3, 2 handy. Also keep in mind that there is currently no jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1.

While we’re all set to downgrade, it’s also worth noting here that iOS 9 – 9.0.2 is currently jailbreakable using Pangu 9. And given that iOS 9.x is the latest and greatest. Apple’s mobile operating system to date, with a full host. new features and of course, security and bug fixes so important, we suggest you stick to the latest Cupertino firmware for now.
