A week later, Apple released iOS 10.3 Beta 6 and macOS 10.12.4 Beta 6. You can download them both wirelessly if you’re a developer.
IOS 10.3 and macOS 10.12.4 Beta 6 Now Available – Update Your Devices Today
Apple updated two of its main beta software today – iOS 10.3 and macOS 10.12.4. The aforementioned software is updated to beta 6 and is available to developers worldwide. And like before, you don’t have to download everything from scratch to get the latest version. A simple download and wireless installation takes care of everything.
IOS 10.3 Beta users can download Beta 6 by following these steps:
- Connect to WiFi and connect to a power outlet.
- Move towards Settings> General> Software update.
- Press on Download and install when the new update is available.
MacOS 10.12.4 Beta users can also download the latest version over the air. Follow the steps below to find out how.
- Save your work and launch the Mac App Store.
- Click on the Updates tab at the top.
- Wait for the latest update to appear then click Update next to that.
Given that we’re already at the peak of Beta 6, it looks like Apple is close to releasing final versions of its software to the public. But it won’t be at all surprising that the company decides to go further with the release of Beta 7. If that happens, you will definitely hear from us.
While today’s version is only available to developers, you’ll be happy to hear that regular users can test Apple’s upcoming software for free. This is possible thanks to Apple’s beta software program, which you can access by going to the beta.apple.com connect. Once here, simply sign in with the Apple ID you use on your iOS or Mac device and the update will be delivered to you over the air. This in turn means that you don’t have to mess around with iTunes or anything to get things done.
Remember one thing though: make sure you install the installation on a device that is not your daily driver. Beta software can hamper your daily use.
