If you’ve ever upgraded to Apple’s latest mobile operating system, you’ll know the windows on an iOS 10 jailbreak close as you read this. With iOS 10.3 or even the current minor update, iOS 10.3.1, there’s no jailbreak in sight – at least, nothing that hasn’t been pulled out of the woods yet.
One of the biggest problems is that several former jailbreak experts are now working for Apple’s own security teams for iOS. Those who immediately come to mind are Will Strafach (formerly @chronic but now just @willstraf) and Joshua Hill (@ P0sixninja), who have started to develop a product called “Apollo”, a new platform for securing devices. iOS for consumers and businesses. Even groups like Pangu are now looking for a bug bounty rather than the “poor but spiritually rewarding” task of helping iPhone owners personalize their devices.
And in that context emerges an old friend called sideloading, this time working alone instead of working with jailbroken devices to bring a delightful suite of modified apps for iPhone and iPad owners around the world.
Today we are going to show you how to get Popcorn Time on iOS 10 to iOS 10.3, no jailbreak required. In fact, this is the best part about sideloading apps on iOS – you no longer have to jailbreak a device to get the modified apps you want on your device.
