It’s still one of the fastest chips, having it on my Moto G100, everything flies man.
I’m really amazed by some of you here …
Mikeromeoz, 6 hours agoI do not know what to say. Wouldn’t these two Pros cross paths with GT Neo2 / Master E … moreIt will be interesting to see the differences between the R9, R9P and R9P +. In fact, I wish Realme would use cheaper chips and spend a bit more on decent speakers and cameras. Instead of SD870 maybe use SD750G for R9P and SD780 for R9P +. Why put an SD870 in a budget phone when the price is going to go up and the GT Neo2 uses the chip? It is as if there is no strategy or thinking in their alignment.

Mikeromeoz, 6 hours agoI do not know what to say. Wouldn’t these two Pros cross paths with GT Neo2 / Master E … moreThey get big profits. They probably bought tons of sd 870 and mtk dimension 1200 lol and then continue to use them.
I do not know what to say. These two Pros would they not cross by segment with GT Neo2 / Master Explorer? I have doubts with this info.
Unless, say, the 870 from the regular pro omits the X55 modem, so it’s only LTE, like what Xiaomi did with the X3 Pro and its 860. That might bring the price down a bit.
It’s a rant, but still, I don’t like them keep coming out of phones one after the other like it’s old-fashioned. Some of their recent products are indeed good, but none of them really matter. They don’t offer anything that would add “color” to a very saturated market.
I mean, take a look at Xiaomi, realme’s nemesis, and their recent products like the OG F1, Mi 9T, M3, X3 NFC / Pro, F3 and RN10P. Xiaomi may have made a lot of blunders lately, but these are killer products that give their name a mainstay. They made the difference in their respective segments. Mention an area that leaves a mark like these products do. Let’s see … realme GT. I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head. They all seem generic.
See, that’s the problem. IMO, realme’s “flood the market” strategy works very well in the short term, but I doubt they can sustain it. Plus, it gives them a bad perspective.
Hope the camera will be better. Realme phones have never had good cameras, even their latecomers.
Let’s be real here, people will be complaining that it doesn’t cost $ 200 when it comes out
Having an SD 870 will remind me of the Poco X3 Pro which came out with the SD 860 (overclocked SD 855) in 2021.
That’s good, even the SD 855 has a lot of power in 2021, struggling just a bit in Need for Speed games on the Dolphin emulator.

A 108MP garbo sensor and the essential duo of 2MP sensors I bet. Realme phones are cheap and not good at all.

joe nods, 8 hours ago870? Old? It was only 8 or 9 months since the first phone with it came out. It’s a Snapdragon 865 with a new lick of paint – and this chip was released in early 2020. Plus, the Realme 9 Pro + will be released in 2022. I’m not saying it’s a bad choice, but it’s old.
