Respring / Restart iOS 9 SpringBoard from the app switcher

With the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch equipped with iOS 9 now able to break free from Apple’s shackles thanks to Pangu’s jailbreak tool, the system settings for the latest iteration of the system mobile operations are gradually making their way to the Cydia jailbreak store. While some iOS 9 exclusive users on older devices mimic features currently only available on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, while others aim to improve performance or hide new system features such as the Back to application shortcut.

While this is all very appealing, many seasoned jailbreak users are probably eagerly waiting for their old bag of tweaks to be updated to iOS 9 or for new, similar tweaks to take their place so they can enjoy the features they want. had gotten used to it. on previous jailbroken configurations. If you jailbreak your device on iOS 7, you might remember a few tweaks from Cydia that made innovative use of the new card-based app switcher. HASHBANG Productions’ SwitchSpring was especially useful for compulsive tweak installers, which allowed users to quickly restart SpringBoard or exit all apps from the app switcher by swiping across the home screen card.

A new tweak called Satori’s EasyRespring does the same with the iOS 9 app switcher, but without the option to disable apps. The tweak has no options to configure. After installation and a respring, restarting your SpringBoard will require some interaction. All you have to do is double-tap the Home button to bring up the app switcher, then swipe up on the Home screen preview to close it, and you’re done. play ! Spring easy, indeed.

If you find yourself playing around with settings and their parameters, this setting is a must-have for you. It’s a one-ride pony for now, but so was the aforementioned SwitchSpring, which added the ability to kill apps later, an idea we’re hoping the developer of EasyRespring will pick up on.

You can download the tweak for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repository. The tweak is compatible with iOS 9 and iOS 8.
