Xiaomi laptops in Nepal: what the company’s country manager for Nepal has to say

Kelly Choos June 12, 2022 4 min read

Over the years, Xiaomi has established itself as one of the best smartphone companies in the world. Known for its affordable phones, whose value for money is almost unmatched, Xiaomi has expanded across the world. With a wide global reach, Xiaomi is now competing with Samsung and Apple in the smartphone market and has even managed to overtake the giants in some parts of the world.

Expanding its portfolio, Xiaomi recently launched two series of laptops – RedmiBook 15 series and MI Notebook series – in the market. In this context, Onlinekhabar spoke with Amit Kumar Panda, the company’s Managing Director for Nepal.

Excerpts:

How has Xiaomi’s trip to Nepal been so far? What do you think of Xiaomi being one of the leading consumer electronics brands in Nepal?

There is no doubt that Xiaomi has been able to conquer the Nepalese market in a very short time and win the trust of our customers. Xiaomi provides the highest quality products with the best specifications at an honest price, and this is the main reason why we are able to hold our own in this highly competitive smartphone market. It is exhilarating to see how our Xiaomi fans have always supported us and helped us reach the pedestal of being a trustworthy brand, selling high quality accessories at a very reasonable price. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to thank all Xiaomi fans and customers who have always enjoyed Xiaomi products.

You recently launched the Mi NoteBook and RedmiBook series in the laptop segment. How has the market reacted to it so far?

Our Xiaomi fans and consumers in the market have always cherished our products and remained eager to receive and use the latest technology, which is exactly why we decided to expand our portfolio and launch a laptop portfolio at Nepal. We have launched Mi NoteBook and RedmiBook series which offer unparalleled speed offering unparalleled performance provided by competitors.

What do you have to say about the laptops launched in the ecosystem category?

We focused on our phone-plus strategy and dug deeper into other consumer electronics categories. With each product launched in categories such as power banks, headphones, fitness bands, smartwatches and smart TVs, we have sought to make the latest technology more accessible to our customers who are widely known as the Xiaomi fans.
